We had always struggled with creating female football programmes. In 2016, we made exchange visits to Kenya to study successful girls’ programmes at Mathare Youth Sports Association in Nariobi (MYSA) and Moving The Goalposts in Kilifi. Since then, we have organised girls’ editions running concurrently along all our other successful programmes, like the Girls’ Slums Derby, Girls’ Schools Championship, Girls’ Christmas Camp.
