Changing lives, one game at a time.
Watoto Wasoka uses football to help children learn, grow, and thrive on and off the pitch.
Children in Uganda’s slums face real barriers to Education and health:
Classrooms are overcrowded, mental health is rarely addressed, hygiene is poor, and girls are too often left on the sidelines.
Yet one thing brings them together: football
We meet children where they are. On the pitch. And we use the game they love to spark learning, resilience, and inclusion.
Our Approach
We use football to improve children’s learning and well-being. Our approach is play-based and peer- led created with and for the children we serve, across three programme pillars:
Play to Learn (P2L)
Play-based literacy, numeracy, and re-engagement programs for in- and out-of-school children.
Play for Health (P4H)
Football-powered hygiene and mental well-being, led by peers.
Play for All (P4A)
Inclusive football programs that promote gender equality and youth development.

Don’t just take our word for it; here’s what others say:

We’re proud to work with allies who believe in sport as a tool for change:

Get Involved
Whether you're a donor, partner, educator, or football fan, there’s a place for you in our story. Every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive. And every game is a chance to make that happen.
