Football 4 WASH is an educative combination of football and health. The programme involves developing, training and implementing football exercises called "drills," which combine fun, play and health education. The programme involves trainings, workshops and competitions in schools and communities to raise awareness on key health issues and the practices of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). Through the programme we bring WASH education to more than 6,000 kids every year in Uganda. With the support of our collaborators Viva con Agua, Football 4 WASH brings WASH services to a further 1,500 kids through WASH hardware (toilets, water tanks and towers etc) in the best performing schools in the programme. This promotes hygienic behaviour and further reduces the prevalence of WASH related diseases and infections in the children.
